This Week's Spoonflower Design Challenge: "Stone Fruit" (and a Look Back at One of My First Designs)!
It’s CHERRY season! I first created my "Ripe and Juicy Cherries" design near the beginning of my surface pattern design journey when I was still new to that confusing program called Adobe Illustrator. I sold it on greeting cards and art prints at local craft fairs and a now-closed Etsy shop where it sold very well! One of the reasons I kept going with my designing was the popularity of this design...Then I moved on...UNTIL I saw that this week's Spoonflower Design Challenge is "Stone Fruit" and I was reminded of this once-favourite design! So after revising that early design (huh, why did I create it that way??!), and then adapting it for a repeat pattern, I entered it in this week's Spoonflower challenge. I must say, looking at it again after all this time, I still love it!
