I’ve partnered with Lumos Bike Helmets in the launch of their newest NYXEL E-Bike Helmet! Check out their Kickstarter Campaign: becoming a backer of their campaign lets you vote on the exclusive colours and designs that will ultimately go into production (they’ll release new colours and designs every Tuesday during November)
This first week the theme is, appropriately, “Cycling”. Here is my vintage bike design, called “Lovely Day”, that’s been included this week.

The 2022 City of Victoria Art in Kiosks Public Art Program Winner: "Be Kind"
(September 2022 to January 2023)
My "Be Kind" artwork was one of only 10 to be chosen for display in The City of Victoria's Art in Kiosks Public Art Program for 2022! The 2nd round of 5 artworks have now been installed in Downtown Victoria; mine is on the corner of Douglas and Broughton Streets, and will be on display until January 2023. Go have a look if you're in town!
I originally created this design in the early months of the pandemic (sorry to mention it), but I think it still remains relevant and serves as a "gentle" reminder. You can read my Bio and Artist Statement and more about this Public Art Competition, and see the other 4 winning artworks currently on view, HERE!

Just after returning from my month-long road trip down the West Coast (fantastic trip, btw), Issue #54 of Uppercase Magazine arrived in the mail! I love it when this magazine arrives! This Issue is all about Abstract Art and Design, and my answer to the question, "How do you personally define or interpret 'abstract' in art and design?" was included, together with my "Flow" pattern design. Earlier this year, my "City Lights At Night" artwork was chosen to be part of the City of Victoria "Signage Kiosk Animation" Public Art Project, a project "to celebrate local creatives and enhance everyday artistic encounters". It has just been installed in downtown Victoria, BC on the corner of Douglas and Humboldt Streets, where it will be until January 2022! The "Storefronts Exhibition Program"
(Spring/Summer 2021)
A few months ago, the City of Victoria (my hometown) put out a call to local artists to submit proposals for the "Storefronts Exhibition Program" Public Art Project to animate vacant commercial spaces in the Downtown core. To keep the project safer this year due to the pandemic, rather than site-specific installations, they requested patterned designs to cover vacant storefronts with vinyl wrap (just up my alley, right?!). Happily, my "Dream" design was chosen and has now been installed at 1420 Douglas St. (near Pandora Ave.)! If you find yourself in Downtown Victoria and happen to pass by it, please do take a photo and tag me!

In this informative post, Spoonflower employees and mother-daughter duo, Isabel and Ace, discuss Passover traditions, share how they will be celebrating Passover this year, and provide DIY instructions for making Matzah Covers and Afikomen Bags for your Passover Seder. This year they decided to update their traditions using fabrics from Spoonflower and compiled their own Passover Collection of designs, including my "Modern Chintz" fabric which they used for the napkins pictured below. I love how the designs they chose all coordinate together beautifully!

My "Geraniums" design (bottom right) was chosen, together with the work of other fantastic pattern designers, to be displayed in the Adobe Textile Designer Booth at the massive tradeshow ITMA Barcelona (from June 20-26 2019) which is "the trendsetting textile and garment technology platform where the industry converges every four years to explore fresh ideas, effective solutions and collaborative partnerships for business growth". With an expected visitorship of 120000 from 147 countries, this was truly an honour!

WALLSAUCE WALL MURAL DESIGN COMPETITION:
SHORTLISTED!
May/June 2019
UK-based wallpaper company Wallsauce recently held a competition to create two wall mural designs based on the theme of nature. The prize was a license agreement with the company! I submitted my "Rainbow Floral" and "Butterfly Garden" designs and I was one of 12 designers that made the SHORTLIST! Although I didn't ultimately win based on votes (and of course, thanks to everyone who voted!), I was pleased that my work was recognized! Check out the comp details at the Wallsauce Blog!
