Make...Create...Smile...Do...Care...Dream...All things I plan to do more of in 2021! This is my entry for this week's Spoonflower "Packaging Design" Challenge (and it's the last one of 2020)! Spoonflower has asked its designers to come up with a design that reflects the values that mean the most to the Spoonflower community: family, uniqueness, self-expression and creativity. The winning design will be featured on its packaging in 2021. Very fun! You can vote at the Voting Page until Jan 5 2021 at 3:00 EST here: Happy New Year everyone...What words will you try to live by in 2021?!
I wasn't going to enter a design in this week's Spoonflower "ABCs of...Tea Towel" Design Challenge, but then I changed my mind when I came up with the idea for this "Geometric ABCs" design. It was a bit of a rush but I managed to finish it on time! I think it will make a great art print too...If you would like to see all the entries for this week's challenge, and maybe stock up on Christmas presents (!) you can link to the Voting Page and to my Spoonflower Shop too! Voting ends Oct 6 at 3:00 EDT!
ADDENDUM: My Geometric ABCs came in 27th out of 437 entries! Thanks to all who voted!
Something a Bit Different For Me! An Editorial Illustration for a Magazine Article About the Environment!
This week's brief in FolioFocus 2108 was to create an editorial illustration using typography to accompany a magazine article about the need to act to address environmental concerns. Here is my illustration...something a bit different for me but I enjoyed the process! What do you think? Does it convey a message?
This week we were tasked with coming up with a positive message for girl's apparel. Here is my "Make A Difference" design on apparel! Hope you like it!
This week we explored mark-making and textures for MATS Creating Collections for Home Decor. So I decided to create a collection for wood featuring some of the doodles I did! This was the final week of this course and just might have to take it again in the future!
Although this week was all about lettering, I really had fun designing patterns for my ceramics collection! Onwards next week for designing for wood products!
