City of Victoria Art In Kiosks Competition Winner! My "Be Kind" Artwork Is Now On Display in Downtown Victoria!
Very pleased to announce that my "Be Kind" artwork was one of only 10 to be chosen for display in The City of Victoria's Art in Kiosks Public Art Program for 2022! The 2nd round of 5 artworks have now been installed in Downtown Victoria; mine is on the corner of Douglas and Broughton Streets, and will be on display until January 2023. Go have a look if you're in town!
I originally created this design in the early months of the pandemic (sorry to mention it), but I think it still remains relevant and serves as a "gentle" reminder. You can read my Bio and Artist Statement and more about this Public Art Competition, and see the other 4 winning artworks currently on view, HERE!
Something to Remember...Be Kind! My Entry for This Week's Spoonflower "Modern Motivational Posters Wall Hangings" Design Challenge!
I thought my "Be Kind" lettering design would be perfect to enter in this week's Spoonflower "Modern Motivational Posters Wall Hangings" Design Challenge as a bit of a reminder. I first designed this one back in 2020 as we were beginning to realize the full scope of the pandemic, but I still think this thought continues to hold true now. Actually, I think it holds true no matter what is going on in the world...
If you like this wall hanging, you can check it out in my Spoonflower Shop!

I think this is true, whether you give it or receive it! Something I'm trying to remember myself...

Something a Bit Different For Me! An Editorial Illustration for a Magazine Article About the Environment!
This week's brief in FolioFocus 2108 was to create an editorial illustration using typography to accompany a magazine article about the need to act to address environmental concerns. Here is my illustration...something a bit different for me but I enjoyed the process! What do you think? Does it convey a message?
