My Entry for This Week's Spoonflower "Doodle Bugs" Design Challenge: "Caterpillar Playground"! And This Fun Design is Now Available in Both My Spoonflower and Redbubble Shops Too!
When I saw that this week's Spoonflower Design Challenge is "Doodle Bugs" and that they wanted design elements to be "hand-drawn", I took that to heart and started doodling bugs with my trusty fine-tip Sharpie, and my new "Caterpillar Playground" design is the result! I know you're probably thinking this design is great for kids, but I'd really like this one for myself on a top or dress! And HEY, come to think of it, I can make that happen! Public voting for this Challenge opens today and you can link to the Voting Page HERE!
This fun design is now available in my Spoonflower Shop on Fabrics, Wallpaper and Home Decor in 3 sizes HERE.

This week's Spoonflower Design Challenge is "Miniature Dollhouse Wallpaper" and I planned to enter my "Daisy May" design, either in the original "Dark Blue" or "Light Gray" version in a cute Tiny Scale, but I wasn't sure which. But then I thought, well, neither just didn't seem very Dollhouse-y to me, so I tried it in a Turquoise version, hmmm, better (see below for all these colour options!)...But I thought it still needed more Dollhouse-iness! So then I tried it out in Pink and Lavender Purple. Now THAT says Dollhouse-y to me, so I entered it!
Public voting for this Spoonflower Design Challenge opened on Thursday April 13 and closes next Tuesday April 18! You can link to the Voting Page HERE!

I was recently interviewed by Cara Dudgeon of the World Textile Information Network (WTiN) which provides in-depth content that tracks key trends and innovations within the textile manufacturing industry, and has been reporting on the textile industry for over 100 years.
In this interview, we discuss creating and maintaining a unique design style and process, while still keeping in mind the needs of clients and specific markets. It was a really fun chat! Read or listen to the interview at WTiN and even better, you do NOT have to be a WTiN Member to access this interview! With thanks to Cara and WTiN.
Here are more fantastic celebrity portraits from the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) by photographer Chris Chapman, shot at the Deadline Studio. Here is actor Jonathan Majors with my “Yvette” retro design in the background! Read on for more about these pics from Chris as posted on Instagram by him @ccphotophoto …
• @ccphotophoto Revisiting some more portraits from my time at #tiff22 for @deadline I thought it was a good time to post about #JonathanMajors who is most definitely having a moment right now ! He first popped onto my radar as the star of the innovative and critically acclaimed period horror series #LovecraftCountry that revisited the occult themes of the notoriously racist author #HPLovecraft with the struggle for civil rights in the Jim Crow south and the spectre of white supremacy. But since then it’s been an incredibly impressive roll out of high profile projects like #Creed3 #AntmanQuantumania and #Devotion for which he was in town to promote with fellow costars @joejonas and @glenpowell. He’s a Yale drama grad with a body of death … a little intimidating from afar but once I actually had him in front of the camera he was so personable and full of spontaneity and fun….no direction necessary …which is always a photographers dream. Interestingly ( and probably wisely ) he has stayed away from all social media platforms ( no IG no Twitter no nothin) which makes me respect the man even more . I also took the opportunity to use another fantastic print design backdrop by one of my OG art class besties #JackieTahara .. check out her insta and incredible portfolio at @unblinkstudio and once you find something you like , have the folks at @spoonflower print it up as wallpaper, fabric or canvas …tons of ways to support an indie artists and designers by using their art in your home . Many thanks to all my crew who helped with these shots @tesslastuckey @sumisiddiqa @yoannerkins @eeeddyk #tifftuesday #deadlineportraitstudioattiff #deadlinehollywood
