My "Jellies" design is part of a new pattern collection that I first talked about in one of my Newsletters a couple months back, and one of my subscribers wrote back to me and said how calming and soothing the design was! So I thought it would be perfect to enter in this week's Spoonflower "Sweet Dreams Bedding" Design Challenge! This design comes in two colourways, but I entered the Blue version because it is much more calming IMHO! I'll just drift away now...
. Public voting for this Challenge opens today Thursday May 18 and closes next Tuesday May 23. You can link to the Voting Page HERE, and see the Blue version in my Spoonflower Shop HERE! You can also link to these designs by clicking on the images below. OH and stay tuned for more from this collection!

My new "Garden Burst" pattern might look "simple", but trust me when I say it took a very long time to arrive at this final design. I had started out with a whole bunch of sketched flower motifs and was trying to jam all of them into a single design, moving them around, bigger, smaller, overlapping...I had in my mind something quite spare (wanting to just use the dark blue and the two grays), but still playful and fun. It took me, OH, maybe two days of fiddling to realize that I should take out ALL the other motifs, and just make the design with these fun bulb-y flowers! Then I added some curly vines, and some bright playful colours here and there...and voila!...the simple design that took DAYS.
And wonder what I'm going to do with all those other floral motifs I didn't use? More pattern designs, of course! Stay tuned! . I've entered my "Garden Burst" design in this week's Spoonflower "Garden Bedding" Design Challenge. Public voting opens Thursday March 16 and you can link to the Voting Page HERE! Yippee!! Here is my entry for this week’s Spoonflower “Ice Cream Truck” Design Challenge. I just really wanted to go bright and happy for this one...I can imagine kids would love this on sheets, blankets, pillows, and you could make them matching pjs with fabric from my Shop! You might even get kids to wear a face mask which are also available in a child size in my Spoonflower Shop! I’ve added this design in both small- and large-scale versions.
Check out the Voting Page to see all the entries! And you can also see what's available in my Spoonflower Shop too! This week's Spoonflower design challenge is "Neutral Retreat", the idea for this challenge was to create a larger-scale pattern for cozy bedding...I think my "Hellebores" pattern design in this Vintage colour palette does the trick! Check out the Voting Page (and all 859! entries, some of which I'm not sure I would call "neutral" though, maybe mine is borderline!)
My abstract “Bird’s Eye View” pattern design was voted 23rd out of 403 entries in last week’s Spoonflower Design Challenge so it is now available on fabric, wallpaper and giftwrap in my Spoonflower Shop, and on home decor products in my Roostery Shop! I really want to thank all of you who took the time to vote! And don’t forget Spoonflower is offering FREE SHIPPING worldwide through June 28!
In celebration of warm, sunny weather I've chosen some of my summery patterns from my Roostery Shop to show you! These gorgeous duvets and pillows are now available...and if you love these designs but don't need a duvet, don't worry, they are available on lots of other home decor products! And of course, there are many, many other designs to choose from!
Fresh off my Top Ten placement in last week's design challenge, I've decided to enter my "City Kids" design (a bit revised) in this week's Spoonflower "Playmats" Design Challenge! How fun would this be on a child's floor?! Even better, there are several kawaii co-ordinating repeat patterns to go with this in my Spoonflower Shop as well (I'm thinking duvets and wallpaper!?) Check out all the fantastic designs on the Voting Page (voting ends April 30 at 3:00 EDT)!
Big THANK YOU to everyone who voted in last week's Spoonflower "Australian Flora" Design Challenge! This week's brief in Folio Focus 2018 was to create some fun farmyard characters...So here is my "FAMILY FARM" collection of pattern designs featuring affectionate roosters, hens and cute little chicks! I can see these guys on some fun kitchen linens, stationery or childrens wear! Contact me if you would like to license these designs!
To see all my newest pattern designs, I also invite you to check out my IG at: https://www.instagram.com ! This week's brief for FolioFocus 2018 was "AstroSynergy"! So I decided to design some Signs of the Zodiac, starting with "Taurus". Here is a collection with a placement print and several repeat designs. I might try and do "Aries" next...Are you a Taurus?! This collection would be wonderful on bedding, as shown!
I love how my newest pattern designs look on these cozy quilts! On the first one are my "Little Grunt Sculpin" and "Constellation of Starfish" pattern designs; the second one has my new "Cupcake Dreams" and "PomPoms" designs. These would make great gifts (I'd like to get one!), don't you think?
