I DID IT! I managed to finish a new design to enter in the current Spoonflower “A Trip To The Beach” Design Challenge! I spent WAY too long revising my popular “Coastal Stories” Collection with brand new Seaside Colours because I was inspired by this theme, thus I nearly ran out of time to create a NEW design to enter. But I think these little “Shrimps” make a very nice addition to my (now re-coloured and expanded) “Coastal Stories” Collection! Public voting for this Challenge opens today Thursday March 14 and closes on Tuesday March 26. You can link to the Voting Page HERE. I would love your vote for this one just because I love these cute guys, and I bet they’d be tasty too! . See below for more print designs from my "Coastal Stories" Collection and you can check them all out in my Spoonflower Shop HERE. All are available on Fabrics, Wallpaper and Home Decor in several scales! See below for more pattern designs from my "Coastal Stories" Collection!
BOING! BOING! BOING! HELLOOO! BOING! BOING! BOING! HELLOOO! BOING! BOING! BOING! HELLOOOO! BOING! BOING! BOING! SPLASHHH!...

I entered my "Monsters and Their Pets" design in Spoonflower's "Monster Mash" Design Challenge! You can now purchase this design in my Spoonflower Shop on Fabrics, Wallpaper and Home Decor!
AND how could I resist?! This design is also now available on Graphic Tees, Wall Art, Totes and more in my TeePublic Shop AND on Lots of Other Products in my Redbubble Shop too! . DESIGN NOTE: For some reason (not sure why, really), I wanted to try out a design using just geometric shapes. So look closely….These guys are composed of just various shapes which I created by "adding" shapes together or "subtracting" shapes from other shapes! I very much enjoyed this process, it was actually quite Zen! And it was very fun discovering how little changes and details can add personality (check out the biceps on the little guy and the pigeon toes on the tall guy!)…I might have to try more of these! When I saw that this week's Spoonflower Design Challenge is "Doodle Bugs" and that they wanted design elements to be "hand-drawn", I took that to heart and started doodling bugs with my trusty fine-tip Sharpie, and my new "Caterpillar Playground" design is the result! I know you're probably thinking this design is great for kids, but I'd really like this one for myself on a top or dress! And HEY, come to think of it, I can make that happen! Public voting for this Challenge opens today and you can link to the Voting Page HERE! This fun design is now available in my Spoonflower Shop on Fabrics, Wallpaper and Home Decor in 3 sizes HERE. AND you can also get this design in my Redbubble Shop on Apparel, Tech Accessories, Wall Art and so much more HERE! Keep scrolling down to see just some of the products with this fun design from both Shops! From my SPOONFLOWER SHOP! From my REDBUBBLE SHOP!

To a nice warm and quiet place where they could just hang out amongst colourful, overgrown and shady flowers (at least that's what I imagine)! Maybe I'd go somewhere similar! "Chameleons Just Wanna Have Fun" is my entry for this week's Spoonflower "Pets On Vacation" Design Challenge (I entered the Jungle Green version, but it comes in Retro Gray too). Public voting opens Thursday Feb 23 and closes next Tuesday Feb 28. You can link to the Voting Page HERE and I'd love your vote for this one, with much thanks!
. And you can see this little guy in my Spoonflower Shop HERE! Or click the images below to see the Large-Scale versions in different colourways in my Shop! Note that they do come in a Small-Scale and Medium-Scale version too! My "Puppy Love" pattern design is my entry for NEXT week's Spoonflower "Funny Valentine" Design Challenge! Maybe it's more "cute" than "funny", but I kinda think the guy with the glasses and tall head is pretty funny! You can link to the Voting Page HERE, and Public Voting for this Challenge opens next Thursday DEC 1 (I had thought voting started this week, but there's a break for Thanksgiving!) Don't worry, I'll remind you next week! Happy Thanksgiving!

Here is my Entry: "Blast Off!"8/4/2022 “BLAST OFF!” This week's Spoonflower Design Challenge is: "Space Exploration"! Here is my entry and believe me, I had real difficulty with this theme, from coming up with ideas to creating a design that I liked! Anyway, you get to see the final result here, and not all the hair-pulling that went into this one! Voting for this Challenge opens today Thursday August 4 and I would love your vote for this one! Public voting closes Tuesday August 9. You can check out all the entries at the Voting Page! If you would like to SHOP this design in my Spoonflower Shop, you can do so HERE. And take note that it does come in Small-, Medium- and Large-Scale sizes too! And Read All About the Design Process Behind "Blast Off!" If you would like to read about my design process and how MY "Blast Off!" design came to be, I invite you to read my most recent NEWSLETTER (August 2022) where I describe how hard this one was! If you are interested, you can Subscribe to my Newsletter too! When I googled "teamwork" to get ideas for this week's Spoonflower "Teamwork" Design Challenge, alot of images with people and mechanical gears came up. So that gave me the idea of adding fun faces into clockwork gears! But WHO KNEW creating happy faces would be so difficult? It took me alot of revising and adjusting to make sure the facial expressions didn't end up looking creepy or nefarious or troubled or weird...But in the end, I hope this one makes you smile!
I think this one would be great for Back-to-School too as I also intended it to encourage science, engineering, mechanics and STEM subjects! Link to the Voting Page HERE. BTW: I entered the Dark Blue version, but when I asked in a Facebook group which I should enter, the consensus came back as the Cream version…then I missed the deadline to switch them. So Dark Blue it is! Also check out the Dark version in my Spoonflower Shop! My "Darling" butterfly and floral print features on this gorgeous MILA dress by Barefoot Baby Australia. Adorable! Now FOR SALE on their WEBSITE!
The Year of the Tiger 2022 starts Feb 1 and it also happens to be this week's Spoonflower Design Challenge! Here is my entry...Is this tiger cute, serious or seriously cute?! Kung hay fat choy!
Check out this cute design in my Spoonflower Shop! My Entry In This Week's Spoonflower "Quirky Amphibians" Design Challenge Sure Has Big Feet!11/4/2021 When one of my sons was much younger, small creatures used to just present themselves to him. Once, he found a little wounded bird sitting in a puddle of water and it allowed him to pick it up; when we lived in Hawaii, he lovingly kept a collection of carnivorous plants (I know, not creatures really, but they sure seemed like it); another time a tiny frog suddenly appeared in the sand castle he was building and just sat there looking at him. My son wanted to keep it, but I told him he had to return it to the nearby pond which he very reluctantly did. So my "Fun Froggy with Big Feet" design (below first pic) brings back those memories to me! I often think back to that little frog and my son (maybe because he's off at uni now!)...
I've entered this cute guy in this week's Spoonflower "Quirky Amphibians" Design Challenge...I think he's kinda quirky! Voting is open until Nov 9 2021. Would love your vote! Check out the Voting Page HERE. Oh, and although I've entered my "Fun Froggy with Big Feet" design, I couldn't help creating a cute coordinate pattern to go with it! So here is my "Fun Tadpoles" design too! After all, where there are FROGGIES, there must be TADPOLES!! Both these co-ordinating designs are now available in my SPOONFLOWER SHOP on Fabrics, Wallpaper and Home Decor in 3 sizes (or click the images below to go directly to them in my Spoonflower Shop! |
