I think this is true, whether you give it or receive it! Something I'm trying to remember myself...

My "Jardin-Gladiolus" Fine Art Print in the November 2020 Issue of The World of Interiors Magazine!11/7/2020 I am honoured that once again my SHOP has been included in the November 2020 Issue of "the world's most influential design and decoration magazine" The World of Interiors Magazine! This time, my "Jardin-Gladiolus" fine art print is pictured in the Design Report (#22 on Page 169)! It can be purchased HERE along with the other art prints in my Abstract Floral Collection!
If you want to check out my SHOP, click here! Check out this weekend's Uppercase All About You Newsletter for a mention of my newest Calico Series of art prints inspired by patchwork, tiles, fabric samplers and collages (and how I envision them in repeat as wallpaper)! Thanks to Janine Vangool of Uppercase Magazine for including me!
My Calico Series has 2 co-ordinating fine art prints that are now available in my Shop in 2 sizes: 8"x10" and 16"x20"! Check them out in my Shop! Last week I posted about how I was having a hard time getting any work done in the midst of all the bad news (see my June 2 post), so I decided to just work directly and freely on my computer, playing around with colour and shapes and with no real end goal. Well, one week later, those little quick thoughts have turned into a full collection of art prints and repeat pattern designs. I call it "Simple Things" because it is just an ensemble of little snapshots that came out when I decided to not over-think. I must remember to work this way more often...Each design (both art prints and repeat patterns) comes in Dark and Light complementary colour ways so you can mix & match several for an eye-popping feature wall (and maybe some pillows as well!). Purchase these art prints in my NEW SHOP!
A "folly" is a funny little whimsical building or structure built primarily for decorative purposes...So I thought it would be a good name for a new collection of funny little whimsical art prints I've been working on! These were designed as a triptych, and wouldn't they be wonderful altogether on a wall?! Would really love to hear what you think about these, since it's a bit of a departure for me but definitely something I will do more of! Stay tuned!
Here is my latest design in a series of floral abstract prints I've been working on recently, and I'm really torn! I just can't seem to decide between these two background colours: blue-silver or bright teal. I think the flowers pop a bit more on the blue-silver, but the teal background just makes the whole design, well, brighter! This design is also one of a series I've been working on and both seem to work in the series equally well...Please help me out and comment about which one you like better! Thanks!
My new “Jardin” print (on the right, with "Eden" on the left)! Not sure if you can tell how much fun it is to draw the abstract floral prints I’ve been creating lately, but you can check out the process at my Instagram page in my “Sketching” highlights if you like!
I've been slowly but surely working on a series of folk-inspired greeting card layouts the last few days, in response to a creative brief from the Make It In Design Live Hub community that I belong to! Here are the first 2 designs (of, hopefully, 4) in the series. I am curious...which one do you like better and why? Colours? Layouts? I'm going to get started on #3 ASAP!
For the month of July, Slowdown Studio had a Blanket Design Competition with 12 winning artists having their designs featured in their 2020 Collection. But before you get tooooo excited, I didn't win (there were almost 10000, yes TEN THOUSAND, entries!), but it did spark some brand new work for me: Abstract Designs! I really enjoyed working just with shape, form and colour, and plan to (1) do many more for home decor and art prints, and (2) turn some of these abstract print designs into super funky, cool repeat patterns! I was so inspired, that I made a separate ABSTRACTS page in my online Portfolio (have a look!). More abstract pattern designs to come! Here are the 4 abstract-themed designs I submitted! Oh, and if you want to see some of the "process" videos for these, check out my Instagram feed! Hint: I plan to add these to my Society 6 Shop in the next few weeks as Art Prints!
