Here is my entry for this week's Spoonflower "Petal Solids Coordinates: Calm" Design Challenge! The idea behind this challenge was to use up to three given colours (this week it was Mushroom, Sky Blue and Pine) to create a design that will coordinate with the new Petal Signature 100% Cotton Solids coming soon to Spoonflower! I had a REALLY hard time with this challenge and ultimately entered the version using just one colour (Sky Blue) and optional White! BUT I also created a version using all 3 colours too which I think has a more earthy, cozy feel. BOTH versions are now available in my Spoonflower Shop in 3 sizes!

Awhile back I posted some pics on Instagram and Facebook of a gorgeous tree that I run by in the morning but had no idea what it was. I asked if any of you knew and you did...MIMOSA! I kept it in my mind to turn into a pattern design, so here it is...I entered this one in this week's Spoonflower "Petal Solids Coordinates: Joy" Design Challenge! The idea behind this challenge was to use three given colours (Mustard, Cotton Candy and Lagoon, and I added optional Black) to create a design that will coordinate with the new Petal Signature 100% Cotton Solids coming soon to Spoonflower! My "Mimosa" is now available in my Spoonflower Shop in 3 sizes on fabrics, wallpaper and home decor!
This Week's Spoonflower Design Challenge: "Take A Hike" (One of My Favourite Things To Do)!6/24/2021 This week's Spoonflower Design Challenge is "Take a Hike". Hiking is one of my favourite things to do (I live on the West Coast after all!) So I thought my "Land of Plenty" design would be perfect since I designed it to celebrate our natural world. I entered the brightly-coloured version, but it also comes in a lighter pastel version (see below!) and in Tiny-, Small- and Large-Scale versions too! If you would like to check out the entries this week, head to the Voting Page! Public voting ends June 29 2021!
AND you can also check out my Spoonflower Shop while you're there! SALE ALERT! Spoonflower's BUY MORE SAVE MORE Sale is still on until tomorrow Friday June 25! You can get up to 20% OFF of Fabric, Wallpaper and Home Decor! Me Made May was created by Zoe Edwards from a personal challenge ten years ago to wear only things she made for a month. She then asked others to join her via her blog and every year it has grown with hundreds joining her as she inspires sewists to be thoughtful about their handmade wardrobes. This year, over 30 Spoonflower employees participated in the challenge and I just wanted to share this gorgeous ruffle-sleeve top created by Kelley O. using my "Australian Eucalyptus" design. Love it and I think she looks absolutely gorgeous! Check out the Spoonflower Blog Post (May 28 2021) all about Me Made May and the over 30 projects created by Spoonflower employees! You can also see more of my designs (including this one!) in my Spoonflower Shop! Credits: Ruffle-Sleeve Top sewing pattern from Peppermint Magazine.
I've just entered my "Jardin" design in this week's Spoonflower "Moody Tropical Flora Wallpaper" Design Challenge! I adapted this repeat pattern from an abstract floral art print I created (see it in my Art Prints Portfolio) and I really like how it has a modern Art Nouveau feel (maybe it has something to do with the colours too?)!
Check out all the entries at the Voting Page and you can shop this design in my Spoonflower Shop where it is available on fabric, wallpaper and home decor! I'm a bit late posting about this week's Spoonflower "Embroidery Template" Design Challenge (I've been working on a "project" and will fill you in soon!) I thought my "Flowered Heart" design would make a great pattern for embroidery (check out the close-up in the 2nd pic!), and with so many people taking up new hobbies, this one is a timely one! You can link to the Voting Page here (voting is open until May 11 2021), and check out all the designs for fabric, wallpaper and home decor offered in my Spoonflower Shop!
This week's Spoonflower Design Challenge is "Home On The Range" so I decided to enter my "Joshua Tree" desert pattern design in brand new colours! This particular design makes me think back to a fantastic and crazy trip we had in Joshua Tree National Park many years ago...
This one coordinates with other designs in my "Retro Rattlers" Collection so there are lots of ways to mix & match! Go check out all the entries at the Voting Page and check out my Spoonflower Shop too! The Victoria Hospice Society here in Victoria, BC, provides compassionate end-of-life care to the community and a large part of its budget comes from fundraising. Included in the price is an exciting virtual event on May 2 with lots of DOOR PRIZES, including my Eucalyptus totebag filled with stationery products from Monk Office (see below)! Treat yourself or someone you love (Mother's Day is coming up!) and you might just win one of the many door prizes too! Weird and wonderful and WHY NOT?! I created my imaginary "Alien World" pattern design for this week's Spoonflower "Intergalactic Adventures" Design Challenge because I couldn't resist channeling all those sci-fi concept art posters (and maybe even a bit of Avatar) to create this alien botanical landscape! This one is just for fun!

I recently re-coloured my FOLLY Series of Art Prints (3 in all, check them out in my Portfolio) using pastels, warm neutrals and a gorgeous dark blue. Then I thought if I adapted them into a repeat pattern, they would be PERFECT to enter in this week's Spoonflower "From My Window" Design Challenge! So now you can essentially get all 3-Prints-In-One together on fabric, wallpaper and home decor! I entered the this Dark Blue version, but couldn't resist also adding a Black version too. Both colours are available in my Spoonflower Shop in both Large- and Small-Scale versions.

In this informative post, Spoonflower employees and mother-daughter duo, Isabel and Ace, discuss Passover traditions, share how they will be celebrating Passover this year, and provide DIY instructions for making Matzah Covers and Afikomen Bags for your Passover Seder. This year they decided to update their traditions using fabrics from Spoonflower and compiled their own Passover Collection of designs, including my "Modern Chintz" fabric which they used for the napkins pictured below. I love how the designs they chose all coordinate together beautifully! Check out the full Spoonflower Blog post (March 8 2021) where you can find a link to my "Modern Chintz" design, and my Spoonflower Shop for more of my designs! Also pictured here fabrics by: wren_leyland on the Matzah Cover, ivieclothco on the Tablecloth, and taranealart and schatzibrown on Pillows (all have Shops on Spoonflower).
